- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients.
- Mix oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub mixture all over chicken breasts.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until lightly browned, 3 to 5 minutes per side.
- Place chicken in a slow cooker.
- Mix water, lemon juice, garlic, and bouillon in the skillet; bring to boil.
- Pour mixture over chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6 hours or High for 3 hours.
- Add parsley 15 to 30 minutes before the end of cook time.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine to the skillet.
- Shred the chicken and use leftovers in sandwiches or salads.
- Adjust lemon juice to taste if you prefer a stronger citrus flavor.
