- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1½ cups biscuit or pie dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 3 large eggs
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
- Optional toppings: pickles, mustard, ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add diced tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Whisk eggs and milk in a separate bowl.
- Press pie dough into an oven-safe skillet to form a crust.
- Sprinkle half the cheese over the crust.
- Pour the beef mixture over the cheese.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over everything.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Best toppings include pickles, mustard, and ketchup.
- Ground turkey can replace beef.
- Homemade dough works if Bisquick is unavailable.
