Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt, adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, adjust to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a heavy, deep pan over medium-high heat with olive oil.
  2. Add ground beef and stir to break it into tiny pieces.
  3. Add onions and minced garlic. Sauté until onions are translucent.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes or until softened.
  5. Add flour and stir until fully incorporated.
  6. Pour in beef broth, whipping cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
  8. Serve over noodles, rice, or potatoes.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
