- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt, adjust to taste
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, adjust to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a heavy, deep pan over medium-high heat with olive oil.
- Add ground beef and stir to break it into tiny pieces.
- Add onions and minced garlic. Sauté until onions are translucent.
- Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes or until softened.
- Add flour and stir until fully incorporated.
- Pour in beef broth, whipping cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
- Serve over noodles, rice, or potatoes.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
