  • 3 cans (15.5 oz each) beans (pinto, black, kidney), rinsed
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • Sliced green onions (optional garnish)
  • Shredded cheddar cheese (optional garnish)
  • Sour cream (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown beef, bacon, onion, and garlic in a pot over medium-high heat for 15 minutes.
  2. Add spices and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in broth, tomato paste, tomatoes, and beans. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Garnish with green onions, cheese, and sour cream before serving.

  • For thicker chili, simmer longer or mash some beans.
