A creamy retro dessert made with pineapple, cherries, coconut, marshmallows, and Cool Whip. Perfect for potlucks and holidays.

8 oz Cool Whip, thawed

1/2 cup sour cream

1 (15 oz) can mandarin oranges, drained

1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained and lightly pressed

1 (8 oz) can pineapple tidbits, drained

2 cups mini marshmallows

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

1 (10 oz) jar maraschino cherries, drained

Optional: extra coconut shreds and cherries for garnish

Instructions

1. If Cool Whip is frozen, thaw in the refrigerator overnight.

2. In a large bowl, mix Cool Whip and sour cream until smooth.

3. Add drained fruits, marshmallows, and coconut.

4. Gently fold to combine without breaking fruit.

5. Refrigerate at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.

6. Garnish with coconut and cherries before serving.

Notes

Drain fruit well to prevent a watery salad.

Can be made the night before serving.

Garnish just before serving for the best presentation.
