- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices of garlic bread, toasted
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is soft, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle shredded cheeses over the beef mixture. Stir until melted.
- Brush toasted garlic bread with melted butter. Spoon sloppy joe mixture over bread. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
- Use frozen garlic bread if fresh isn’t available.
- Toast the bread well to prevent sogginess.
- Reheat leftovers in the oven or microwave.
- Prepare the filling ahead and store in the fridge for up to 2 days.
