- 6 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound extra-lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 (28 ounce) jar pasta sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried chives
- ⅛ teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- 2 cups shredded yellow and white marbled Cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 (8 ounce) package light cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Cook lasagna noodles in boiling water for about 8 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
- Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Stir in pasta sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, chives, oregano, and nutmeg.
- Transfer half the beef mixture to a casserole dish and sprinkle with 1 cup Cheddar cheese.
- Spread cream cheese and beef mixture on each noodle, roll up, and place seam-side down in the dish.
- Top with remaining beef mixture and cheese.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until bubbly.
Notes
- Serve with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
- Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated before baking.
- Reheat in the oven at 300 degrees F until warmed through.
