Ingredients

- 2 slices thick bread (sourdough, brioche, or whole grain)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella
- 1 tsp butter or mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: chives, bacon bits, sautéed spinach, hot sauce
Instructions
- Press down the center of each bread slice to create a shallow well.
- Lightly spread butter or mayo on the outer edges of bread.
- Crack an egg into each well.
- Sprinkle cheese around the egg.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Place in air fryer basket and cook at 375°F for 6–9 minutes.
- Garnish and serve warm.
Notes
- Use thick bread to prevent egg from leaking.
- No parchment paper needed.
- Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the air fryer for 2 minutes.
